NABBS signed a contract for a NATURA 2000 project in the Burgas
On 31.07.2020 NABBS signed an administrative contract for granting financial aid for the implementation of project BG16M1OP002-3.019-0017 "Shared vision for the ecological network Natura 2000 in the region of Burgas" under procedure BG16M1OP002-3.019 "Shared vision for the ecological network Natura 2000 in Bulgaria", priority axis 3 "Natura 2000 and Biodiversity" of the Operational Program "Environment 2014 - 2020", co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Cohesion Fund of the European Union.
The project envisages an information campaign in the region of Burgas, during which the benefits of the NATURA 2000 network for local communities, good practices from other regions and countries, as well as local products and funding opportunities will be presented. Special attention will be paid to the non-environmental benefits of the network, based on the recommendations in the National Information and Communication Strategy for the Natura 2000 network. As a result, we expect to build a shared vision for the Natura 2000 network among the public of Burgas region. from the network, both for the local population and for other stakeholders such as land owners / users, agricultural producers, representatives of the tourism industry - hoteliers, restaurateurs, tour operators and hunting and fishing organizations.
The project is worth BGN 71,400 and is fully funded by the Operational Program "Environment 2014-2020", co-financed up to 85% of the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union.
